Putting a feeler out. My manual transmission seems to be rattling while under load. Mostly it is in third but does occur in second. Seems to be dependent on what I am asking of it from 1.5K to 3.5K revs. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm still here if you need help, Thompyt. Send over your VIN, mileage, name, phone number, and dealer info. I'll get you some assistance on my end, while taking it in to diagnose.

I have rattling/scraping in all gears, it's driving me crazy. Had the service manager listen to it, he tried to tell me it's normal. I'm not buying it. I have an Aug 25th appointment to have the tranny checked out but I know their gonna tell me it's fine. All these problems of thumping and rattling I'm reading about and they call this normal? I have been driving nothing but manual for 40 years and have owned countless cars and I've never heard of anything like this. My 12 year old Corolla sounded better than this transmission
Love the car but this is a deal breaker for me, if they can't fix it this will be my first and last Ford. Brand new cars with 600 miles on them are not supposed to sound like this.
2015 Ecoboost Premium, PP, manual. 3 weeks old with roughly 600 mile on it

Any news?
Yea, I will say that when I brought the car in last week it had about 1200 miles on it. The noise had quieted down quite a bit...but still there. Ford as predicted found nothing wrong, in fact they said that they "could not verify the problem". No surprise here, these cars have had noisy crappy transmissions for years so why would Ford decide to take responsibility for their shoddy, incompetent work now.
Decided to try Royale Purple transmission fluid, from what I've been reading it seems to help. Been to 2 tranny shops and they both said the same thing. "Don't do it it will void your warranty and it probably won't help.
So bottom line is it's a lot better than what it was and I can live with it, not happy about it but I can live with it. 2 years they can have their car back. (it's a lease) Then it's on to check out the new Camaro. Ford can go take a shit for themselves.

I changed the trans fluid to Royale Purple and it was a 99% improvement.

For someone with limited access to the proper equipment to adequately work on his vehicle, where might you guys recommended going to to have someone do a trans fluid change for me ? OR, is there anyone in the Charlotte area that might be able to assist me for some $$ ?
