Wondering if anyone else is seeing this? I installed the shifter handle recently and when driving around while shifting, the reverse lockout collar seems to be what is rattling. If I hold the collar while shifting it won't rattle, but this is really annoying and it didn't do this with the stock shifter. :frusty:

Otherwise, the shifter feels great!

I inquired to Steeda about this too but wanted to see if I was the only one or perhaps missed something obvious in the install. I did note there was an O-ring included but wasn't mentioned in the instructions at all, so I didn't use it anywhere.

I saw Cascadia_302 replied but must have deleted his reply. I didn't follow as there is no Figure 24 on the instructions that I could find. Here's the same instructions that came with my shift lever:

Yes l did reply but deleted it because l realized after l posted you were talking about just the shift lever sold by Steeda and not the complete shifter that Steeda recently released. The shift levers are not designed the same so my reply wasn't relavent.

Oh okay that makes since. Thanks for the thought though. Still odd mine did come with 1 o-ring but instructions didn't say what to do with it.

Yeah, the complete shifter kit from Steeda includes (2) O-rings that install on the larger diameter area near the bottom of the shifte lever. I saw the one you have doesn't have the grooves for the O-rings.
The directions l got with mine mentions that the 3 set-screws for the Steeda lockout collar need to be tightened evenly or you may have some noise?

Finally got around to getting at this again. You were right, just loosening those set screws I was able to tighten up the collar and no more rattling! Thanks a bunch! Only thing that sucks now is that my knob apparently is stripped out, so it won't tighten anymore. Too many times taking it off and back on to adjust everything. Are these threads plastic??? Guess that gives me an excuse to buy the new knob I've been wanting :)

Wish the Steeda instructions were more clear about that. It only states to tighten them evenly and snugly (which I did), but they don't mention to leave enough out and adjust for the collar tightness. Also, I e-mailed them about it and never heard back, which kind of sucks. Usually they're very good at CS.....

I'll look into that email for ya, apologies they didn't get back to you. Glad you're up and running and if you wanted one of our new knobs that's almost released, I'll hook you up big time!

Sweet, thanks man! You guys have pictures of any of the new knobs?

Also, I just looked up the instructions for the handle i have on your website. It seems the design has completely changed (black plastic in the middle instead of all metal) and so have the instructions! What's the deal with that? The instructions looks like they include the two O-rings now, and some of the photos look like it is on the full shifter assembly, which is confusing. But the part number is the same as what I ordered back on Black Friday.

Made a running change recently! Let me know if you're wanting to swap it out for the current one and I'll see what I can do :)

No problem, I think now that I got that rattling figured out I am happy with it so far. Any advantage to the newer one or just a minor design change?
It's a bit of a shorter throw, and the knob will sit a little lower as well - the revised version also replaces the factory reverse lockout.
