Manual Mode

I went to the drag strip yesterday and tried the car in manual mode while in the drag strip mode. The car shifted automatically for me, has anyone else had this happen? I tried manual mode on the drive home in every mode including drag mode and had to shift with the paddle shifters in every mode but drag mode, it did it automatically both up and down shift. Curious if anyone has experienced this, if it is normal or if I should take it in for some warranty work.

I dont have a GT500 but it may be similiar to the s550. If youre in manual mode, you need to use the paddles at least once. Like if youre stopped and put it in manual mode flick the downshift paddle once. You should see your gear indicator blink. You are now in full manual mode until you go back to drive. It will auto downshif for you though.

I found out the answer. You have to be in track mode for manual mode to work. If you are in drag mode and put it in manual mode it will still shift for you.
