  1. Still on your original battery?

Mine is still on the original battery as well. I took delivery of my 21 500 in April of 21. When I pull it into the garage it goes on the trickle charger immediately.
  2. Here's why forced induction isnt a good idea for track use

Do you have a new GT500? I track mine quite a bit and it has never overheated or come close to overheating. I have run 30-minute sessions at Watkins Glen and the only issue with the car is it running out of gas at the end of the session. I am in boost all the time there unless I am on the...
  3. Tow vehicle suggestions

I tow my 2021 GT500 with my 2024 F150 Platinum Powerboost. with the tow package. Obviously, you know it is the hybrid and it tows without any issues. I put over 4000 towing miles on it this past year and now that I just retired this year, I will probably double that milage this year. With the...

  8. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

That is correct. It has three bolts per side and no drilling is required for the. You do have to drill 12 holes for the rear bars, or you could weld it in if you wanted to.
  9. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

I recently put in the Watson Racing 4 point roll bar and some Sparco racing seats. I will only use the seats when I am going to the track. It takes about 20 minutes to swap the seats from my comfort seat the Sparco seats. Looking forward to track season this year.
  10. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

I do occasional HPDE's usually 3-4 track visits a year. I am retiring this year so plan on doing more in the future so I will probably go with some fixed seats and the 6-point harness. The seats are not that hard to get in and out of the car so swapping them prior to heading to the track and...
  11. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

I have a harness bar but am putting in a roll bar this winter. I have the Schroth racing 4-point harness that wraps around either the harness bar or roll bar.
  12. Recaro Seat and Road Courses

Question to those of you who track their cars with the factory Recaro seats and have a harness installed. How do you like the seats? Would you rather have aftermarket seat seats with more bolster or do these keep you in place good enough? I have the comfort seats but am looking to either pick...
  13. Alignment w/Handling Pack

You have the hub stands with your kit? Are they needed or can you do the alignment without the stands? I think I will buy this kit just need to know if I need the stands. That way I can adjust the toe on the rear myself when I go drag racing and then put it back when I am done, along with...
  14. Alignment w/Handling Pack

I am saying my initial alignment I had the camber plates not maxed out and the street alignment was done. Then we move the camber plates to the track alignment, I checked the indicators to see where they were for the track alignment. Then we put the camber plates back to the not maxed out...
  15. Alignment w/Handling Pack

It was spot on. I will be having my alignment checked again when I get to car out this spring. I did 3 track events last year and it has not been checked since last spring. I have to get a state inspection and will have them put it on the rack at that time.
  16. Alignment w/Handling Pack

I installed a set of Vorshlag camber plates on mine, removed the ford performance ones. These have a scale with a pointer that you can see. I had the street alignment done with them all the way in one direction, then I had them do the track alignment so I could see where the pointer was. Now...
  17. Recall: #23C35 BODY CONTROL MODULE BCM CONFIGURATION UPDATE

I do not have Whipple but I do have a ported blower with supporting mods. I flashed mine to stock before they did the update and returned it to the tune from my tuner after and the car runs just fine. I had the mobile service done as well.

I just had them come to my house yesterday and they did both the BCM and the transmission flash for my GT500, car is modified and tuned. I flashed it back to stock prior to them getting to my house and when they were done, I flashed my tune back into the car. Car is running just fine.
  19. Maybe I'm in the minority opinion; I don't think the Base GT500 is a "great" track car

I was in the 145-150 mph range if I had a clear track. I was braking at the 500 foot marker. You can carry some decent speed through the bus stop too. I am still fairly new to tracking cars, been a drag racer all my life, but someone with more experience could probably be close to 160 or a touch...
  20. Maybe I'm in the minority opinion; I don't think the Base GT500 is a "great" track car

I was just at Watkins Glen with my base this week for two days. I previously owned a GT350 and had it at Watkins Glen too. I am not a great driver on road courses, but I am getting better, and I feel like the 350 was nimbler around the track but the 500 is a better car at this track. Its power...
