Home built resonator delete on my 2018. This MF muffler is true 3" in and out.

Before this install, it was too loud since I added the MAK deletes. Had to chop off the factory connects on the MAK pipes and then the muffler was welded straight to the MAK pipes.

Ran some 3" pipe to the axle backs.

Car sounds amazing!! Highly recommended.

looks good, totally agree on MF Tru X sound. Can't even tell my car has LT's anymore.

Thanks guys! Yeah I’m loving it so far.

The 18s have louder mufflers so adding the MAK delete pipes made it too loud for me!

Much better now.

Nice work!

I don't want to piss in your Cheerios, but the 12469 isn't an X, it's a double Y. Which means both pipes run into 1 single 3" pipe then back to 2. It may not make an HP difference but Magnaflow was'nt too keen on the idea for my application.

I only mention this because if anyone else is considering this mod you can get the 12468 which is the 2.5 inch version and a TruX.

Exactly right.

I wanted 3” in and out for the eventual switch to FI.

Looking inside this muffler shows it flows very good. I should have grabbed a pic.

Yep, a single 3" is way more restrictive than an X of 2.5" (and is also less cross section than the stock 2.25" catalyst outlet pipes combined). I noticed this when I was looking for resonated X-pipes. It certainly won't help with power, and is why I didn't get the 12469. It may be 3" in/out but there's definitely a bottleneck there now.

You’re an expert on the topic I see.

I’ll be at the track tomorrow... if it is worse than the stock suitcase (lol) then the numbers won’t lie.

We shall see.

It will matter when you go FI for sure.
That will prove to be a huge restriction and a bottleneck.

Hopefully not.

I had a turbo car in the late 90s make 500whp through single 3” exhaust.

I can’t see my current set up being a restriction any time soon.

Like I said... the numbers won’t lie and I’ll report back either way.

It's always good to have real data on this stuff. Good luck, can't wait to hear.

Happy to be the guinea pig! lol.

If this ends up being restrictive i'll probably gut the muffler and install a true 3" H myself.

What's attractive about the 12469 is how nicely packaged it is. Dual 3" in and out and tucks up nicely into the recess in the chassis.

There really isn't much room to work with up in there once you move up to 3" pipes.

Fingers crossed!

I get it. I went with Magnaflow 4" bullet resonators, but Magnaflow themselves are telling me they aren't going to do much and you can't fit much more than that.

Wish I kept this damn exhaust 2.5"!

Well... real world results are in. New best ET of 11.69 and new best MPH of 121.

Went to the track last night and picked up just under .2 in ET and 2 mph in trap speed by simply adding this mid pipe.

Nothing else changed between 2 weeks ago and last night other than the install of the MF 12469 in this thread.

Below is my best time from two weeks ago and also a pic of 2 of my best passes last night (best ET and best MPH).

In addition... DA was roughly 3500ft last night--about 700ft worse than it was 2 weeks ago.

Slip on left is old best, 2 on the right are from last night.
