Not much headway. I’ve done everything as well but still get the idle pops.

That’s good Daryl. Here’s the thing though, if compression comes back fine, you’re in the spot I am lol. No further ahead except knowing the motor is fine and tune is fine. All the other stuff is fine lol.

Supposed to go to a track rental the 31st, but with the idle pop misfires, I’m going to pass. There’s another 3 or 4 booked for the summer and fall that I really want to make. I just don’t want to risk going knowing there’s an issue and make a bigger problem.

Did Lund give any idea what the issue could be? I take it you’re doing data logs now to get the tune sorted.

Hopefully that gets your issues solved.
Haha sounds like we're in the exact same boat. I was supposed to have my first foray into racing this weekend. The shop that does some of my work is holding a track rental. Was hoping to learn some tips and get practiced so I don't look the fool when I go to the regular track days. Even tho I've been WOT with this thing I don't have faith in it.
I told Lund about the misfire sounds that I feel and hear.
They said better to make sure it is healthy with a compression test before doing any logging.
Makes sense to me, better to know now than down the road. It's kind of of like being between a rock and a hard place. But Lund did say they said they saw this problem caused by a cracked intercooler brick leaking coolant into cylinders, but my plugs are dry. I need to get rid of the misfire popping whatever a person wants to call it. But not at the expense of having to buy a Shortblock.
I just got a pair Kooks Cats today so will get them installed this week. Very well made and heavy as fk. I see why they're so costly. But that will take out the question of a clogged cat. Even tho I get no codes ya never know, which sucks. Plus I don't trust the ones that came with my headers.

Yep, compression test will help eliminate the big stuff.

Hopefully the motor isn't bad. Even if you do all the work yourself you are looking at ~$4.5k to get a new shortblock with new gaskets and bolts and other stuff.
Up here that price tag nearly doubles with the dollar difference and cost of shipping duties taxes etc.
So maybe a used Longblock. But I'm getting ahead of myself here and will worry about it when it happens.
Or not.
Good thing is it runs good enough on the base tune to daily it. Just no boost etc.
