Hope everyone is doing well. I made a previous a thread about the gt having idling issues and and possibly surging, so I started with maf sensor. I seen on YouTube where if you unplugg it with the car running and it turns off, then the sensor is fine. If stays on while unplugged then the sensor isn't any good. So I tried it and the stang kept running. So I'm like ok. Need a new one. Got one put it in and it seems worse. I disconnected battery terminals so I could reset the ecu. I disconnected the terminals first. Then I took out the old sensor put the new one in. Reconnected battery terminals and cranked the car up started great then a few seconds later it started sputtering like as if it doesn't recognize the new one maf sensor. So I disconnected maf sensor disconnected battery terminals. Waited like 5 minutes and reconnected everything and still same issue. But I didn't have time to put the old one back in to see what would happen. Am I missing something? I know I'm noob. So don't get on me too hard lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated when I disconnected the old maf sensor the first time when I was checking to see if it was bad I had a check engine light. That's when I learned i have to reset ecu by disconnecting battery terminals cuz it sounded terrible. So when I did that everything went back to normal. So I'm a little confused here.
