Just a heads up for those who are shopping for exhaust. I have a 16GT with a Roush Phase 2 Supercharger kit. (the 727hp version). I didn't do enough research and went on the advice of an exhaust shop and put Flowmaster Super 44's (axle back) on my car. After a couple weeks they started to sound awful... like 2 coffee cans being dragged behind the car. The idle is ok but under a load its awful.

I called Flowmaster and they listed to the car and agreed it sounded bad. They thought maybe a baffle came loose. They sent me 2 new ones no charge which I thought was great. Unfortunately after about 2 weeks they started to sound the same and now its just worse. When I talked to the rep I asked if I needed to change to a different style muffler and he told me no.

Now I've spent labor twice and will have to a 3rd time. I could have bought the most expensive full system on the market at this point for the total I'll have to spend to buy something else and have it installed.

Lesson Learned... and stay away from Flowmasters

Flowmasters are a truck exhaust, imo. I've always had them on my trucks but they just don't sound right on these cars.

Roush and Corsa are my personal favorites for the S550. If I couldn't have Roush ABs and an X-Pipe, I would go with Corsa Xtreme catback.

Obviously not a Coyote motor but I had Flow 2 chambers (pretty sure they were the original 40 series) on my 98 Cobra back in the day with an OR H Pipe and it sounded FANTASTIC.

Chambered only mufflers that work off of the same principles as mufflers that worked on engines 20 - 30 years ago (SN95's, Foxes) just don't sound good in my opinion. They sound tin canny and when they also get loud, it's just the worst. It's like putting a small rock in a can and shaking it really hard close to your ear. Not appealing.

Coyote exhaust.... Spend a little more and you will likely spend it once.

I'm removing my flow master axle back system and installing the ark performance grip series.

I would have prob never spent full retail for my Corsa. When An Xtreme cat back with black tips with next to zero miles on it came up in March, for $900 and three hour drive to pick it up, I jumped on it. Best decision ever.

This motor only sounds good with perforated muffler systems. I'm happy with my MBRP street. Only have about 100 miles on it, but I'm liking the growl and 0 highway drone. Great budget system with good sounds and looks. I'm sure Beef can help you out
