Good

Screw Ford and screw any other manuf that is complicit in conspiring with the gov to stuff something few people want down the throats of those that don't.
The government didn't force me to buy a Mach-E. It was entirely volitional.

but did you give the EV credit back? You can send me a postcard with my 0.01c refund. Or do I get to drive your car 1/4 of a wheel turn? I paid for it afterall. :)

Ford (and GM Mopar) are going to lose billions in this pointless EV pursuit. I'm sure that's why Ford is trying to spin-off the division so millions of stupid investors can throw their money away financing it.

I’ll believe that claim by Toyota when I see it. The size of the service to remotely deliver that kind of recharge performance will be huge. Then there’s the heat generated and controlling that. I’m not anti ev they just don’t suit my needs at all. That said, my service truck has enough 60volt dewalt batteries in it to run a house.

I'm bullish on TM - I'd bet against them crying for help:

Now pardon me while I go put my money where mouth is.

Was talking to my dealer Thursday night while my dad was signing the paperwork on his Mustang. They have a handful of Lightnings and they can’t move them. Word is out that once you start hauling stuff, the mileage plummets (I’ve heard under 100 miles on a full charge if you’re hauling anything significant such as trailers with landscaping equipment, etc).

On the local news they talked about this and also mentioned that Tesla is releasing their pickup now. Suggesting that there is some coincidental timing going on.

But I'm not sure if the Lightning is really a competitor to the Tesla pickup. I envision different people buying them for some reason.
That Tesla truck looks a doodle made by a 3 year old. And that’s probably an insult to 3 year olds artistic abilities.

And we shall see....but Akio Toyoda and his minions are not prone to the hubris of Elon Musk. They just don't strike me as the bullshitting type.

Yup videos all over yt mocking Ford idiocy. Maybe that's why there are legions of h1b Indians doing everything - American engineers simply don't exist anymore, or are even dumber than the imports. What the hell is going on at Univ of Michigan?

There is no question that Lightning's are "use" specific. I have a friend who is a local handyman and gardener. For him it is perfect (he plans on getting one). Short hauls on a daily basis. But others who need longer distance and/or towing ability should look at an ICE truck.

I agree, some light towing or just taking some tools around and staying local, the Lightning should be sufficient. Maybe the discounts will help those that are on the fence but the heavy users should absolutely stick with an ICE truck. The Lightning is a beautiful truck, the capabilities just don’t seem to be what is advertised.

On a side note, my dealer does have an F-150 King Ranch that is absolutely stunning. I don’t really need a truck but I was tempted LOL.
