Something that will take 3 lines of text has to be at least 10 minutes of video (for the hopes of monetization). The most infuriating ones are the dyno videos - only thing people are interested in are two numbers.

Let it be said that I never want to die for lack of shooting back. Hopefully you at least got a license plate that police can pursue (now it's a bunch of other felonies that they can pursue, LE doesn't give a flying **** about auto theft.).
The irony is, it'd be very easy for LE to shut down a good majority of the volume of auto theft, they just don't apply the resources to it because "that's what insurance is for" is their attitude.
In urban areas, you can't drive virtually anywhere without either being on camera or being seconds from the next camera.
Most of the vehicles stolen end up in either chop shops or a container bound for Central/South America (or now West Africa). A growing number end up in salvage title schemes and a very very small % are joyriders who just want to roll a stolen ride.
I think the lesson I'd take away here is don't follow them if you're not prepared for violence
Even if they didn't shoot at you, they could have waited for a red light and all jumped out and you're in a big pickle if you don't have room to back away (or you aren't armed).
But I don't agree with many of the others. The reason the shit is such a problem in so many places is because too many people value their miserable lives more than doing the right thing. Kudos for at least not being apathetic. Just get a sidearm and take it with you everywhere.
