Stock exhaust at the track. It is perfect. Don't waste money on a cat back exhaust that will not add any power.

I do love the sound of my MACH 1! To me it sounds better than the GT 350 that a lot of people seem to love.

Thank you for the information. Maybe I didnt ask the right question.

This 2022 Mach 1 already has the active exhaust. I was wanting to know how good of a performance the stock active exhaust gives compared to aftermarket.
The stock exhaust system, in particular the large suitcase resonator, is not as restrictive as some may believe. @WD Pro has a photo (or several) of the suitcase cut open. It’s a pretty open/flow through design.

The suitcase IS very heavy. Swapping it out for an X or H pipe will shed some weight and will increase volume a bit but it’s not ear piercing loud either. There are some hp/torque gains shown on a dyno but it’s minimal.

If you want to go aftermarket, the active systems are quite pricey. Borla sounds the best IMO and the quality is outstanding but the price tag is hefty.

Here is the resonator :

The active exhaust mufflers are pretty good with the valves open :

Then there's the non active mufflers ...

Wow nice pics. Active exhaust is just perfection. Seriously the best addition to our cars.

I put long tubes on my 23 mach and left the factory resonator and active exhaust in place. During cold starts in quiet mode it sounds stock and the wife and neighbors no longer complain, I leave for work at 4 AM when the rest of the world is still sleeping. Anyway, no matter what mode I'm in it sounds stock, just a little louder, which is exactly what I wanted.

For more power on the cheap, ditch the carbon trap, add your long tubes if you want them, and get an E85 tune from Wengerd. The E will add a slight uptick in loudness, but nothing too noticeable. It also adds a sweet alcohol smell to the exhaust. I often catch myself standing behind my car and do a remote start just so I can smell the exhaust.
