Oh ok. I got excited for a second there. I need to stay with a 28 up front too. Might have to go with that heavy M/T Sportsman radial up front since I’ll be driving on the street a little with the drag setup.
The new ET radial fronts should be interesting.

Yeah, no way I'm using a lightweight front skinny tire on a 3500 lb car. Zero. That's why I got MT sportsman s/r 28x6x18.

The M&H bias really aren't bad. I had them on my 15 and 18. Just not a fan of the handling.

28x4.5r17 radial front runners. These look just like the bias ply versions. Weighed in at 17lbs. At least 6lbs lighter than the sportsman SR 28s.

My next step will be making 17s fit brembos 😂

Cool! Please post pics of your draggy setup when you get them mounted and installed. Thanks

Weight difference don't bother me in the slightest. Dunno about your area, but around here those wouldn't last 3 weeks on the street.

How does the MT Sportsman S/R handle when coupled with the Bias Ply on the rear? What kind of mileage are you getting out of them?

Put the fronts on like a month ago. Rears last summer, still looks new. Handles great.

I don't really notice much difference in handling between the M&H bias ply fronts and the MT SRs. I was just concerned with going 150+ MPH on a tire not designed for the weight.

I hear you there! I ran the M&H bias ply 28” on my 2013 GT and drove on the street constantly for about 4K miles. I did always feel like they looked low on air, even though they were aired up to 42 psi. It never handled bad at all. Heck, one time I even drove 120 miles on the interstate (round trip), to the drag strip on them. It never occurred to me until the tech at M&H told me not to drive on the street with them because it would tear them up. That’s nothing like what I had experienced with my use of this tire, but it got me to thinking, I had better do things differently this time around, just to be safe.

Yeah, I’m certainly aware of that now. Not willing to press my luck this time around. LOL.
At least with the SR fronts its 6 ply and 130 mph speed rating. Hoosier/MH/Phoenix you get the roll the dice ratings haha. Did you look inside your MH and see the disintegration ? It's mayhem man haha.

No, they were still on the Race Star wheels that I ended up getting rid of. After the convo. with M&H though, I imagine there was likely some carnage.
