I just ordered a set of Racestar 18x5 and M&H 28x4.5x17 and I am curious if I need to get them balanced. I might try to mount them myself. I don't like trusting most tire shops with nice new wheels.

I went to Discount Tire to mount mine and the fronts balanced very nicely with very little weights and without a scratch.

Did you have any issues with the weights hitting the calipers?

Gonna have a really tough time mounting those 17" tires on the 18" rims! Lol

Anyway, I would def get them balanced. You should be able to mount them yourself, but get them balanced. I've had a set of Racestars in the past and the same tires you ordered.

A bit of lube on the rims and I am sure they will slide right on LOL!

I have a base car and the 17'' wheels so I have plenty of room.
