Good day all.. i have a recently added a lunds race tune on my 18 gt350 and it doesn't sound as aggressive as the stock tune. Seemd to drive the same. i honestly dont feel any more power or better performance than the stock tune, with the exception of how the car sounds. I have dyno tested yet, but will do soon. When the lunds tune is installed the program does say Gen 2 Coyote... has any one experience this with there tunes?
I have long tube headers, borlas ataks exhaust, stock CAI blue filter.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

My guess is the gt350 stock tune is pretty aggressive so there is not much that Lund can do to make it perform better.

Your mods also don't require a tune so the stock tune can adapt to them just fine.

Now if you want to run e85 that would make a noticeable improvement, but if you are just running premium fuel a tune won't change much.

What are your goals with the car? If the goal is just a bit of a power increase I think you are at that point and should consider e85 if you want a little more. If you are wanting significantly more hp you will want to look at boost.

I ran a Lund JLT 93tune for almost 5 years, loved it. Never any issue but I bought it that way, so I can’t really say anything without it. Also had the ghost cam, full e85 and a couple others that were pre-JLT so I never used them either.

Mine also says GT350, not Gen2 Coyote…just make sure you keep a copy of the stock tune, or be prepared to drag your car to Ford for a reflash when you decide to up the ante 😐

Thanks for the info. I had a 14 gt before with the same mods and a tune made a difference. I figured it would have been the same on the gt350. It was a lot of money spent for nothing. Sucks.. oh well time to move on.. maybe a whipple šŸ˜„

Yep, my guess is the gt350 is just tuned more aggressively with less left on the table so a tune won’t make as much as a difference.

Whipple will be the difference you need haha

If you're not measuring on a dyno or the track...what can you really tell?

yes, this times eleventy…butt dynos are worthless under about 30whp, and a good 93 tune over stock 91 can usually do about that just by itself šŸ˜‰šŸ‘šŸ¼

If you want to "feel" a difference get some kind of pedal controller. It will allow you to get into your power earlier on the pedal. I've used the pedal commander along with my lund tune since I purchased my M1.

I have the SCT Flash tuning software and I'm licensed for my GT350. When I looked at the stock tune, I realized that there's nothing left for aftermarket tunes. You can fiddle around with the driver demand torque curve to make it feel "quicker" but as for making actual power, the FP crew got it all when they pulled over 1 hp per cubic inch out of the engine.

Can’t necessarily agree…I don’t have the parts list anymore, but Fathouse Performance had a Stage1 package that got 515wheel out of the 350s with headers, intake and a 93 tune…

Headers, intake, etc is not what you get when you buy a custom tune for a stock engine. Heck, if you put FI on it, you can get a lot more power.
