I keep going back and forth trying to decide which is the better option for me. I've never tried the Whipple tune... I have only used Lund and the id1000 injectors.

But this new revisions that keep coming from Whipple have caught my attention and I'm curious if anyone has tried both tunes from them?

If you have what are the power differences... Trap speed.. Butt dyno... Or real dyno numbers?

Just from reading the forums it looks like I can switch to the Whipple tune and possibly gain 100 horsepower as well as the flight control to limit power in first and second. Lund thinks I'm around 600-650 rwhp and the Whipple is claiming 765 and 134 mph trap speeds... Which is insanely fast!

I doubt there is a 100hp difference between them. All dynos are different. What I would look for is traps speeds.

I trap 132-134 on my Paxton/93 tune with 600ish-rwhp. Tuned by Lund. Is your car auto or manual?

Sorry bud the Whipple tune will not work with the ID1000 injectors

You'd have to get the 72's from Whipple with the tune but I don't consider that a downfall.

Trap speed tell the story .. Whipple seems to be coming along with their tune for track with being able to turn off the nannies .. I'll be on the Whipple tune this season and will post my track times good or bad

Any remote tuned car tuned by the best will yield great HP and should be faster
and make more HP...That being said The Whipple tune is kick ass and makes great power
as I have it in my car,im not looking for max HP.. I just wanna get in and go.
I do not want send files and data back and fourth...If Lund was in my back yard I may have a different
opinion however but he is close and they are tuning a shit ton of cars ..

How long it takes to get it dialed in is anyones guess ..So IMO thats your trade off...
I did find a local guy who can tune his ass off and I may
add LTs and a pulley and have him wick me up this summer but for now im having lots of fun
being Whippled

This is partly my point here. The dyno numbers are very different from one another.. Makes me wonder which is accurate..and also why I want to see trap speeds. I haven't seen any Lund tuned Whipple trap speeds on pump gas

I trap 132-134 on my Paxton/93 tune with 600ish-rwhp. Tuned by Lund. Is your car auto or manual?
manual. Looking strictly for Whipple numbers here

Yes I know this. I bought these thinking I would eventually run e85

I guess my point here is if the Lund tune gets me less trap speed I want to change to Whipple tune. If the Lund tune gets me the same trap speed I still might change to the Whipple tune for the flight software.

Since your car is manual it is a toss up. Lund will make more power and more useable power with traction present but if you need whipples features to go fast then that would benefit you

Lund has never made more power than Whipple with 93 octane. It was a 100hp difference for awhile but I think Lund has brought it up abit.

I'm not talking about racing dyno sheets. Trap speeds tell the truth.

Look at my sig? I have an inferior blower on lower boost and I'm getting it done. Seems most Whipple owners like to dyno vs run their car anyways

OP I would stick with what makes you happy. The whipple software is really cool and they seem to write a good tune. Lund will make you a happy person regardless as well the car. You would have to swap injectors though
