If you are contemplating a tune.... Do it! you wont regret it. You may regret not doing it sooner. I waited till I had atleast 5k miles on the car. I read everyone said it made a big difference. And its no joke.... I just didnt think it would be as big of a difference. Granted I did quite a few things at once. But I was impressed with the 91-93 tune from lund. Then after switching to the e85r tune, from 3k up its an animal. Even half throttle will get er loose. As for gas mileage, it will be less on the E, also its hard to not get on it. But at .90 cents a gallon here, I dont care. Have a feeling the rear tires will have to be replaced mid summer. LOL. If summer ever shows up. I say its time for you to put that stimulus money to work.![]()
91-93 tune is the same tune. It'll cover both those octane ratings. Always fill up with the highest octane available to you though. I'm in California, so the maximum octane at a pump is 91 so that is what I use. If you have 93 at your pumps, fill up with 93.I am new to the mustang community. I just recently got mine so please forgive the lack of knowledge. When selecting a tune as you said 91-93 which one did you prefer? also do you know if it voids the warranty on the car?
I live in MI so i am blessed to have 93. With the lund tune i was told i could revert back to the OEM tune that was on the car, would they still be able to tell if the car had a tune on it?91-93 tune is the same tune. A tune will void your warranty. It will not void your bumper to bumper warranty though, just warranty relating to your powertrain. The car is still going to be perfectly reliable, especially with very few mods. Lund does a great job on their tunes.
Correct you can add stock tune back but cycles are still tracked.I live in MI so i am blessed to have 93. With the lund tune i was told i could revert back to the OEM tune that was on the car, would they still be able to tell if the car had a tune on it?
Just tell em you were changing tire sizes with the handheld haha.Correct you can add stock tune back but cycles are still tracked.
They have to prove the tuned caused the failure.A tune will void your warranty
so as long as i can prove that the failure was not cause by the tune ill be okay??Just tell em you were changing tire sizes with the handheld haha.

Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act lawyer would be even betterso as long as i can prove that the failure was not cause by the tune ill be okay??
sounds like being a lawyer
Yes, each flash adds a count to a counter, but unless they look at that they won't be able to tell.I live in MI so i am blessed to have 93. With the lund tune i was told i could revert back to the OEM tune that was on the car, would they still be able to tell if the car had a tune on it?
This just means that if someone like a window switch broke, they can't deny you warranty for that because you have a tune, as that has nothing to do with the tune. If something happened with the engine, it would be nearly impossible to convince them that the tune didn't cause that. A lot of dealerships do anything they can to deny warranty.so as long as i can prove that the failure was not cause by the tune ill be okay??
