Hey guys need some help. Got my car tuned today by a certified Lund Tuner and dealer. They did not install my nGauge so I did it myself. It's now in the vent, connected and when I try to connect to my car it says cannot connect to vehicle. But it powers on. No clue what to do, so frustrated. Anyone know what to do? Cable is plugged in firmly both sides.

Is the connector plugged into the back of the nGauge? Make sure no wire strands are bent on that connector too.

Who ran the USB cable through the AC vents/under the dash/to the OBD port? Possibly the cable got bent up/scraped/cut. The USB cable is a very standard cable. What I would do is get another cable, pull the tuner pod and connect it to the OBD port with the new cable running outside the dash. If everything works, the cable in your dash is FUBAR and needs to be CAREFULLY replaced.

*edit*
Well, standard, except for the OBD port end. Not sure if there's a plug-in adapter for the OBD port end or it's all one cable. Regardless, I'm betting it's the cable.

The car must be "on" as either engine running or ACC on (little green light illuminated on push button start). Without this action, the nGauge will still power up but will not connect as you described.

LOL, it was the wire; the cable tooth was completely broken off. I managed to bend the pin around a bit and move it around until it connected. Taped the wire that way to the gauge and it worked!

Getting a new wire though

Have you guys ever wondered what would be the outcome of a Lund flex fuel tune with same spark timing on e85 and 93 octane across the entire rpm range? Well it turns out, given the higher energy density of 93 octane gasoline fuel, it gives out more hp and torque everywhere on the rpm range. Not by much though, average delta hp and torque is 8 whp and 10 lbft less in E85. To take fully arvantage of E85, the spark timing has to be at least 3 degrees beyond the ones on 93 Octane.
