My car started creaking and shudders on the passenger side when braking or turning left. Took it to the dealer and found this. Unfortunately it is 4 months past warranty. I had purchased Steeda lateral links with extended ball joints. Would that fix this issue or would I need something else?

You'd at least want to ensure that the tapered hole in the knuckle's steering arm hasn't been getting beat up.

Going to extended ball joints means you're probably in for some bumpsteer correction.

Is this a lowered car?

No it is stock ride height for Performance Pack.
Oh. If the Steeda lateral links are the roll center corrected version this will change the geometry. I would contact Steeda to find out about this before installing.
This is an upgrade for lowered cars that have altered geometry.

The extended ball joints are for lowered cars FYI. I have them on my 2018 (lowered 1")

From what I've gathered, it seems performance package cars eat ball joints on the lateral links especially on the passenger side. I developed a slight creak/groan during slow none level turning. It started around 6k. By 8,500mi I could hear it echoing in parking lots. So I slapped on the Steeda extended ball joint lateral links, car handles a tad better and no more noise.

In your case (I like steeda) just get some factory replacements from whoever is cheapest. Unless you plan on lowering the car.

I did get a hold of Steeda and they said that these would work no problem on the stock PP height. And the passanger side is the one that is bad. My car sits right over 32K miles right now. I do plan on lowering it in the next few months. Will also add their bumpsteer kit as well.

Whether stock height or lowered, tall balljoints and a bumpsteer kit should really be done together. The only difference should be in the spacer selection.

Also, only god (and maybe Norm) knows what the car is going to drive like if you only install extended ball join control arm on one side of the car and leave the other side stock.

It will work, but you're still changing the geometry from factory.

This. I would definitely not recommend doing that. If he's gonna do it at all do both sides.

I am having both sides done. The other side isn’t as bad but they did say there is some movement.

Ah ok. Just wanted you to be aware, you'll be raising the roll center up further with these arms.

Yeah I can't figure out why Steeda would ship that part to somebody who isn't lowered at all. Its just baffling. Maybe its not a noticeable problem to run tthem, but a stock OEM part would just drop in with barely an alignment required.

Definitely better have the bumpsteer kit on hand and install it at the same time. Try and leave the stock rod ends untouched and the car will be turning hard in both directions when you set it down. Wish I had been warned ahead of time but luckily I had a kit on my shelf.
