Quick question for you guys. What version of this car is supposed to have an air diverter on the underneath of the from of the car. I know I saw picture somewhere showing an air deflector type thingamabob that diverts air to cool the brakes. The one I am thinking of is similar to a length of weather stripping that clips into the plastic under engine cover and goes from one side to the other.

My car is a GT with PP and it does not have this part. It looks like it only has a notch on each side to direct the air but no weather strip thing.

Wondering if my car is missing something.

Thanks,
Jaime

If you have the GT with the Performance Package you will NOT have the rubber air dam. The performance Package has the vanes that move air to cool the brakes.

The GT, non performance package has the rubber air dam that has the subtle curve. the Ecoboost Mustang has the rubber air dam that reaches an apex at the center.

See the video in the link provided. Time index 2.45 during Ken Anderson's presentation. This should explain it better.

Hmm..interesting...at the 3:45 mark...

I wonder what would happen if you put an EB air dam on a normal GT. Would that curve make the fuel economy better in the GT?

what about base v6? which rubber deflect should it have. Mines came off, and i got it replaced. Originally i had the one with the apex (like the ecoboost), but now i have the one with subtle curve (non-premium package gt). Does it really matter? I dont want to go back to the dealer and complain that it's not the same rubber deflector i had on
