I have been doing some research as I work on some winter projects for my '21 GT Premium, it has the OE splitter and looking to add the PP2 lower and wonder if you just need to order the lower PP2 splitter (JR3Z-17626-AA) and not the PP2 splitter kit (M-16601-MPP) as I already have a Performance Pack splitter but just not the lower PP2 splitter.

Did some looking on here along with other Facebook pages and getting conflicting information...

Thanks!

You really only need the lower splitter part. The PP1 splitter can be drilled from underneath to attach the PP2 splitter. It's not easy to line up as you need to hold the PP2 splitter in place with the ends attached at the wheels and somehow make marks on the underside of the PP1 part. I put masking tape in the places where the clips have to go through and used the imprints to mark the drill locations. Only drill as deep as required. Put tape on your drill bit to make sure you are not drilling through the top surface. The PP2 part (JR3Z-17626-AA) comes with a hardware kit, but the plastic rivets are janky. I ended up using some better plastic rivets (size 6.3mm x 25.2mm POM rivets, 21 pieces required) from my local auto hardware store. I think for you guys in the US, they can be bought from Harbor Freight. You'll need the pop rivet tool to install these. The install is solid and looks factory.

Did you add the PP2 splitter? I’m doing the Mach 1 PP2 style Ford Performance wheels, the front lower splitter, and a couple other things.

I wanted more splitter on my PP1 car. I could accept 1" less ground clearance but no more.

I did not like the two layer look of upper and lower splitter, and so I shopped eBay and others for a one piece replacement splitter. Ultimately I found one I like from Steeda on sale, but the same one is available on Ebay at the $160 mark. I just couldn't justify paying $300 or more for any product.

Although I can turn on my garage heater, I probably won't install it until spring. Part of that decision is because I need to add some texture to it with wrinkle paint, so that it better matches the side skirts.
