Low oil pressure light is on

Low oil pressure light is on the dash but the oil pressure gauge In the car says i have plenty of oil pressure. What could cause this problem? I have the PP.

You can have decent oil pressure with as little as 2 quarts. Check your oil

Is there a oil sending unit on these cars like the foxbody? Does the mechanical gauge and the computer read get there information from two different places in the engine?

Looking at the oil pressure switch Ford uses on the PP cars, one side of the switch likely provides ground for the low oil pressure light, the other for the inferred oil pressure gauge,

I'd check for a broken wire on the side that provides the ground for the low oil pressure idiot light.

Wait, does the car have throttle now? Didn't it have codes for the oil pressure switch initially?

Yep car has throttle now, the shop replaced the battery cable wiring harness. That harness runs to a bunch of other stuff o2 sensors, ECU, etc etc. I'm still not sure it that fixed it or not, he told me it didn't work, I took it to ford, they did something, got my throttle back, no wrench light, no check engine light, I hit the throttle it revved up. Ford did a crank re learn on it. I haven't driven the car but I know it has throttle. It's a long weird story man. Anyways still have the issue with the low pressure oil light but the PP gauge says I have plenty of oil pressure. It's a ford now. Waiting to get looked at again. I've been asking for the codes over and over again he kept telling me what it's doing. He wasn't giving me the code numbers so I told him to take it to Ford

Ford thinks it's the switch or the way they have one of the lines twisted or something. It's just weird that the low oil pressure light is on but the gauge is reading perfect oil pressure

Yes lund tuned it. Ford changed oil sensor on the car. It got rid of the low oil pressure light but I'm back to square one again. At one point I had throttle response now I dont have it. Wrench light popped up again. No Check engine light on. Ford drove the car and said it was running really rough. Said I need to take it somewhere to get tuned. The car ran pretty good with the last lund tune I had in the car before my cats blew. I don't understand how my tune would go bad after they took my motor apart and put it back together. I'm just gonna tell lund to send me a base tune just so I can drive the car. Maybe somehow It got corrupt. Another thing...my steering wheel is hard to turn to the right and feels normal when you turn to the left. It gets even harder when u turn on the sport or the track mode. This shit is a nightmare
