Looking for recommendations on sub and amp package

So, I'm looking at adding a 12" sub and amp to my car and could use some advice. The only thing that I'm certain of is that I'll be using a Zenclosure half box. I was looking at a Sundown E-12 V.3 D4 and a Rockford R500X1D, which seems to be a pretty good, affordable set up. But, I know there are a lot of brands out there that maybe aren't household names, but make really good stuff. This is about the max that I want to spend, so if anyone could suggest a cheaper alternative, or something better for the same price I'd really appreciate it.

You can't go wrong with a Zapco amp. They've been around since the 70's and built extremely well for an intermediate price.
