Its just weird to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet of "where to go from here." I love opinions when it comes to design and builds other detailed specific procedures. But as a basis of to mod or buy something else? You either do or do not. What does it matter what anyone else says? LOL ; )Sorry you don't get it. Just asking questions, looking for advice is all.
We all have our own opinions and ways of doing things.
So what you are saying is I should not be using this GT350 based discussion forum to discuss my car?Its just weird to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet of "where to go from here." Either way, carry on. Don't mind me.
Let's see..The usual stuff like suspension, brakes, exhaust, some engine stuff (from cars back in the day, lol...Nothing like this). An intake and tune isn't a huge dollar investment. Why not start there and see how you feel?
What's your level of experience with big modifications? I say this because I came from a built high HP Evo X and got way in over my head, because it was my first real project car. No matter how well things are installed/fabricated/tuned, there's always gremlins. Not to mention all the P.I.T.A's you may or may not have with emissions depending on your local government.
I think it may take a bit but as time passes, mileage accumulates, and values fall, you'll start to see more FI 5.2L engines out there. And maybe, CPC swaps at rebuild time. I've had the GT500 on my mind as well as in, how crazy of a car this would have been had they simply put in a next generation 5.8 engine from the '13/'14 with cooling bits much like the ZL1 1LE instead of choosing the whole FPC shtick.i think part of the reason i felt less attached is because its been stock for most its life, like my hands are tied with the warranty. almost like i cant make it my own, it came like this from the factory. there is something to be said for making something yours, even if its something as unfun as installing headers lol...call it bonding i guess.
sooo i decided I'm gonna start making it mine...tune, MGW, looking at wheels(mainly because i hate cleaning the OEM), and if my bike sells I'll consider boost. I'm nowhere close to a road course and yet the car is just as fun to me as it is the next guy...
my vote...make it yours!
starting to see quite a few FI voodoos on facebook now, not as many here. cant blame them really when posting pics has become even more tedious, and they tend to be met with the "OMG what have you done" crowd.I think it may take a bit but as time passes, mileage accumulates, and values fall, you'll start to see more FI 5.2L engines out there.
