I sold, like an idiot, my 2020 301a PP1 6 speed car a couple years ago for a Jeep. Realized I hated the Jeep after a year and went back to my comfort zone, an F150. The bug has bitten again, this time I'm looking for something a bit different. I have a fun manual car that makes 650WHP so I'm going with a 10 speed. I have it narrowed down to 3 cars, one is a Oxford White 401a with Active exhaust and B&O. The 2nd car is a Shadow Black 401a with Active Exhaust and Nite Pony package, no B&O. The third car is a Dark Matter grey 401a with active exhaust and 20" wheels. My 301a car had the 9 speaker audio and it was lacking in the bass department to the point I added a sub in a ZEnclosures box so I already know I'll likely be doing the same to the black and grey car if I went that way.

All 3 cars have 3.15 gears and honestly I like them all. The blacked out car looks sinister and the white car, with the right wheels would look just as bad ass. Currently the black car is listed at $47k and the white car at $49k. The grey car is a left over '22 and listed at $49k. I'm leaning towards the black car, but if they're willing to work out something on the grey car being a left over I wouldn't hesitate.

The biggest this I'm needing help with is the B&O worth getting or just add a sub to the 9 speaker system. I've read the posts about the EQ being wonky on the B&O but fixable via forscan.

So of the 3, which would you choose and why?

I don’t have the B&O so I don’t know what I’m missing there. I’ve heard mixed things about the B&O but at least the wiring is there for the sub if you want to change it out. Personally, I’m not a fan of white cars. I’ve had 2 of them and they’re just kind meh to me. Carbonized is a cool color and I like the look of the stock 20ā€ wheels. Black looks so good for the 30 seconds it’s clean, after that they show every speck of dust. So, my vote would be for the Carbonized

White only if adding stripes and you don't like detailing, Carbonized Gray would be my choice especially with the 20’s. I despise keeping a black car clean. The B&O is nothing special, use that money to upgrade the 9 Speaker if it matters, I am ok with my 9 speaker. Active Exhaust was my only requirement.

Active Exhaust was definitely a priority, moreso than the stereo. I had an AWE Touring catback on my old car, it was an amazing exhaust that really sounded good. it was loud all the time though.

I want to put a Steeda H Pipe on mine but fear damaging the Wiring for the AE.

Carbonized Gray has a beautiful shine wo being too hard to care for. With the 20’s you will get the PP Firewall Bracing as well.

I’m going to be getting my Steeda H pipe installed soon. Going to have them take an extra 1/4ā€-1/2ā€ off with the resonator (so it pulls the tips inward a little) to help with the wiring on the passenger side. @WD Pro did something similar with his and I believe a few others did as well.

My vote is for the Carbonized Grey. As other stated, black is sharp but hard to keep clean. White is ok but very common and "safe". Active exhaust is definitely worth it.

I just looked at the photos of the grey car, I was wrong. It isn’t carbonized grey, but rather dark matter grey.

I want my rapid red pp1 back. Lol

Still vote for grey, that is if you can't find one in Atlas Blue. Lol

Dark Matter Gray should just be called Metallic Light Black lol. It’s a beautiful color to me but keeping it clean would make it a tough choice for me.

If it matters Ford has 0% for 72 mos on 2022 Mustangs at the moment. I bought from Ourisman in Manassas Va and they still have quite a few 2022s between 4-6k off msrp at the moment. I wish I would have waited but then again Eruption Green is not available so who knows.

I’d vote Dark Matter, it’s a color you don’t see very often

Now, if you can find a Grabber Blue Metallic, that is obviously the best color 🤭

Funny enough a different local dealer has a ā€˜used’ grabber blue GT Premium 400a. I have thought about going to look at, it has 1800 miles. The only hitch, this dealer sells 90% buy backs. I haven’t been by to see what it was bought back for, but I’m sure it’s one of those cars.

If you can find it online pull up the Carfax, it’ll tell you if it was a buyback. It likely won’t say why though. I generally avoid buybacks, it stays with the VIN forever no matter the reason. And most people aren’t interested in the reason, they just see buyback and pass
