Hi. So I am considering a purchase of one of two cars. Both equally equipped manuals. 2022 mach1 premium, 17000 miles,47k. 2024 dark horse premium, 8000 miles, 55k. What say you. Thanks

Well, Mach 1 is definitely a looker especially with the handling package and holds it's value very well. The Dark Horse has all the latest tech and some interesting features and, based on what I read, watched, and experienced myself (driving a friend's darkhorse), the Dark Horse is a lot more composed when driven at the limit and a lot more refined overall than the s550 GT I have. To be fair, I have never driven the Mach 1 to compare so I'm kind of comparing apples to oranges. I'd suggest test driving both (or renting on Turo, if available) to make an informed decision.

Does either one have the handling pack? And are you planning on boost?

I’d prob take the Mach to save the money. They are virtually the same car. The Mach looks better IMO

Asking this question on 6g is going to get a biased answer.
I'm not a fan of the overall look of the exterior of the S650. I don't care for the Cameroish look of the front nor the pinched, Hyundai look of the rear. The interior with the screens has, for me, destroyed the classic mustang dash. I also don't like that Ford has put so many everyday controls exclusively on the screen.
Also, keep in mind that the S650s currently have a lot fewer options for power adding engine mods due to the ecm (as far as I know) still being locked.
Looks and modding potential would make the Mach my choice.

The Mach 1 has heritage the Dark Horse does not. The M 1 looks better IMO. The DH is the new toy and therefore may not age as fast as the M 1. Both cars would perform well. Buying the M 1 you save cash that can be used to mod the car to your taste.

No handling package. The milage bothers me a bit. 17k in about a year and a half.
You planning on keeping the cars for a long time or re-selling in a few years? If so the dark horse might be worth more in a couple years. Idk

It's a '22, so 17k isn't bad mileage for a 3 year old car. But the 3/36k warranty has expired. I'd go with the The Dark Horse for the warranty unless the S650 styling and screens are turn-offs for you.

Tough call.
I kinda lean towards the DH because of warranty, and mileage. However the M 1 is a good deal as well, and extended warranty wouldn't be hard to get and well worth the expense IMHO.
Good luck. Let us know what you get.

I d like a warranty if possible. Then can you stand the interior of the DH? Dh is worth more, I d start with 2 low offers on both cars and see if either bites, then decide if you're still unsure. The lower mileage would have more appeal to me too. I would really need to know the final price to decide. you ll have to feel that one out. an offer doesn t mean anything if you decide to go in another direction.

17K is just broken in. At a rate of 1,000 miles per month you know a lot of those miles were easy highway driving. I'd choose the Mach just because I prefer the S550 looks, exterior and interior.

If I had to buy another Mustang today it would hands down be the Dark Horse.

Tough choice, both are really good cars. Are they the same color? If not, does one color appeal to you more than the other? From a performance standpoint they’re pretty equal, the DH in HP form is slightly better, probably due to the Trofeo tires.

The screens bother some people, personally I don’t mind them. I think the Mach is probably the better looking car but for me it’s close. The DH looks good too. I’d probably go newer and lower mileage (plus some remaining warranty, although the Ford ESP is available for the Mach), but tough choice for sure
