Hey guys, I'm looking for suggestions for long tube headers with cats that do not require a tune. I am still under warranty. The dealership told me that as long as any problems are not caused by the headers, I am still covered.
Can anyone suggest some headers that will still increase power and performance with cats and do not require a tune? Thank you

Hey Brotha! so in most cases with ford to keep your warranty, you must be able to prove that the mod has not caused the issue. and almost every time they will say it did. so in order for you to have long tubes you run the risk of your warranty being compromised. if you just want the sound and would like to keep your warranty you can gut your cats. Its almost the same sound as having headers but lacks in the performance. But its very very loud. there are also tunes nowadays that go underneath your factory mapping. I don't know too much about it but my tuner is amazing. i am tuned on e85 with only an intake waiting to hit 36k for headers. But if you would like more info i would be able to send you his number!

Thanks for the response man. By gutting the cats, wouldn't that throw a check engine light for emissions ?

The only LTH I know of off hand that you can run with no tune and and not throw CEL with out running spacers or other trickery would be Kooks with Green cats. But tbh to get the most outta your LTH you're gonna want a tune. May as well go tune for e while youre at it if available. But if it's all about the warranty then just hold off.

But as others have said tune won't void warranty but if its found to be the reason of the failure they can deny the claim for that part. So if your power windows stop working they're not gonna deny the claim due to tune as it obviously had nothing to do with it.

I addition to that, if you are just going for a better exhaust note while N/A you don't need LTH's, a decent cat-back will accomplish that. If you are not getting a tune the LTH's are in fact pointless, save yourself the $1200+ and just wait.

Getting headers without a tune is a giant waste of money.
