Brushed nickel finish on the crappy chrome. STOKED with the results!

I bought satin clear plasti-dip and tried one but the durability of it is very weak. NOT like the satin black plasti-dip, not sure what's up. So I went non-reversible but could not be happier.

One of the other reasons I did this was to take apart the dash and rattle proof it. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Now I can push on the alluminum Dash trim and all of the vent and guage bezels and they are rock solid with no noise.

One of the posters here mentioned 8.5x11 sheets of adhesive backed felt at Michaels Crafts. $1 each, you can't go wrong!

Thank you...just house hold green Scotch Brite pad. Takes some effort, and just make sure to keep it in one direction to have a nice uniform brushed look.

Wow...That looks freaking perfect!!

If Ford sees this, they should offer this with the PP as a standard option! They owe you big time.

Haha thanks Todd!

It looks so much more higher quality and fitting for a performance car.

How did you get all the parts out of the dash?

I know I thought about that but once I got into it I was full steam ahead. I will say this, the little spring release thing at the back of the sunglasses holder seems to be one of the noise makers. Especially if you have a transmission insert bushing as the NVH from that can make it buzz. You pop it out inwards so it's pretty tricky getting it back in... the little spring mechanism that sticks out the back. Once I had it out I packed it with grease to keep it from rattling. I will say that I took the spring out. Don't do that!!! It is TINY, I mean literally almost like a hair. Took a a lot of time and patience getting it back together.

Thanks for posting this man! I am totally doing this when I get home! The brushed look really makes the inside look more performance oriented and a lot less like cheap chrome accenting
