You have a better chance at hearing, "Crap, I wish I would have waited for the 2017!"...but I doubt it.

If ford would had said straight out you will not be able to get a 20 min track session without the track package. I would have reassessed my build. However as it is, this problem didn't come out until owners started identifying it. After my car was built, after it was shipped, after I am obligated.

There are a few people that are basically on the side of (you got the wrong car, ford owes you nothing, so deal with it)

Anytime I see the (well here it says track package option...) I gonna counter. It just a fact that Ford's messaging wasn't clear and some people on the hook for a $60k should get the performance they were expecting not some "halfassed car with a limp"

Did Ford put in writing the exact time that each variant of the car would last on the track? Nope.

Again, I say - Everyone looked over every littttttle inch of this thing....scrutinized every option....created thread after thread of tech vs track and the pros and cons. Everyone thought the coolers were on there for nothing? Everyone thought they called it a track pack for nothing?

AGAIN, I say - I hope you guys get some fix out of this so that you can enjoy your cars how you want because, America....but those of you acting slighted and so extremely surprised are a riddle to me. Disappointed, maybe. Surprised, tricked and lied to? I don't think so.

These are Mustangs, in the end. The vast majority of Mustang owners are never 100% happy with every aspect of their car - so in comes the aftermarket parts. Just wait for the aftermarket coolers and/or Ford to provide some options.

I'm guessing I'll get some thanks on this post when I say that this is my grand finale to this fiasco. I hope you guys get it worked out - this has erupted in typical internet fashion. I hope we can get drinks if we meet up sometime and laugh about it. Goodbye cruel Tech Pack threads! I'm heading over to chat some ADM threads so that I can relax!

Ok, I lied - one more - but it's not related, really.

You know, in the US, you aren't obligated to purchase the car even after it's delivered and your standing in front of it. I imagine it's the same for you unless you've already paid for it and it's in your name, VIN and all. Good luck!

Where is stated that the track pack is mandatory to complete track events?

It's stated that it is recommend. Recommended and required are different metrics entirely. I view recommended as more of a "it'll work, but you won't be as fast without it" or "it'll make it except on 110+ degree days". Not "it won't survive 20 minute laps in 60 degree weather".

Apply your mentality to the GT. By your logic, you can't drive with performance in mind without the Performance Package.

Listen guys, if you want me to stop posting, you just need to stop replying to my posts.

They can not and will not give specifics. Where did they specify what a track event was? They didn't because they are different but usually 20minutes or so. If the track equiped model is meant to complete them, why would you be surprised that the "tech" model without the coolers MIGHT have some deficiency?

There are a lot of people on this site that are putting words in Fords mouth, cherry picking quotes and inferring what they want from literature in order to meet their wants and agendas. We get it, you want it. You're arguing with the wrong people.
