meh...merely KEEPING a car for over 50 years does not a car guy make.

my grandma had her nova2 until the day she died, but had no idea how to check the oil :cwl:

The fact that it is still a very presentable car means he cares about it. I saw some one owner cars that are absolute roaches after 10 years. 50 years is a long time to have a car maintaining it's appearance and functionality.

Let's just say if this performance was from a GAS engine people would love it.

I have nothing against the Lighting at all. It's a much better name/package than the Mach-E. That said I would like if they gave it a "performance" option that can be installed like Tesla does.

Donā€™t worry, weā€™ll get one. Just like the Mach-E GT Performance.

I'm all for Ford competing with the world on the electric stage. Offering an electric truck....that's great for the people who can make that fit into their lives. But I'll never be OK with them dragging the Mustang name into it in this manner. Offering an electric Mustang.... hard pill to swallow, but....fine. This is the state of the automobile in 2021. Putting yet another "SUV" on the road and affixing a legendary name to it.....No.

An F150 of some kind is definitely in my future (as my wife's new vehicle). This one would not work as we do at least two 300+ mile one day round trips a month, and a bunch of longer drives per year, AND we'll want to be able to tow on the longer drives. Not practical.
And that is why this truck is not intended to replace an of the other F-series offerings that would fit your intended use much better. Ford didn't roll out the electric truck and tell everyone "Here is the new F150, we hope you like it, because it's all your getting."
