The car needs other black accents as well to really draw out the wheels.
Yes it sure does. If I get gloss black wheels eventually, I would want gloss black hood vents, gloss black spoiler and some sort of gloss black stripes to accent as well. Tie the look together so to speak. :)

What's wrong with a black blob!?! :D

Although seeing so many murdered-out cars on the road now, I am seriously considering changing to Guard on the '15.

(since these pics below, I have added Roush axle-backs, that I painted matte black, and window tint.)
Absolutely nothing, if that's what you're into!

After looking at your ride. (Very nice BTW) It tempts me to buy a White Mustang and name it Shadowfax. SHADOFX plate letters. ;)

Its what Gandalf would ride in. :) He always beats the Nazgul as well :D

I like damn near anything, but I feel like the car needs to come together as a whole. I wouldn't just slap black wheels on a light colored car because it contrasts. The car needs other black accents as well to really draw out the wheels. On a similar note, I personally wouldn't slap black wheels on a black car because you're basically just driving a black blob at that point. There has to be a certain complimenting and contrasting theme going on with the whole car to really make ANY wheels work. It really comes down to personal taste, and personally, if someone doesn't like the choice I make they can go jump off a cliff. :)

This so true especially in photographs as film and digital still have a small contrast range than the human eye. I think they will be a resurgence in wheels of different colors. Porsche, Bugatti and others use wheels of color. Orange, green or red ....But back to the real world I know that I'll be looking to change wheels this winter; one the new wheels will weigh less in 20" than the 19 inch factory wheel, two I'll be able to get them in another color bronze, sterling gray, silver something other than black. Remember my GT/RR had black wheels with a sterling body and carbon accessories so I am not against black wheels just not on a white car.

Asked @FordService on Twitter about the GTPP offsets and just got a reply:

Front - 19x9.0x45mm
Rear - 19x19.5x52.5mm

Also confirmed any 19"x9.0 (or larger wheel) with the proper offset will clear the GTPP calipers.

<sigh> . . . . you'd think with a couple years worth of 1LE Camaros featuring 10"/11" wide wheels that the PP wheels would be at least 10's. A pretty weak-sauce response if you ask me.

Thx. I need to find 8 buddies to help me fight you. ;)

I think the Guard Green and the black rims looks great, I'm starting to lean in that direction. I'll have to change my plate to AZOG or LURTZ.

This isn't true. The wheels still need proper spoke clearance to not hit the calipers.

Black wheels need the right color.....sterling gray which is close to magnetic or maybe its guard, works.

Funny stuff. :)

I want Triple Yellow so I'm not sure which character I would be. Legolas maybe with his golden hair??? OK enough Tolkien talk. ;)

I will be keeping my eye out for gloss black PP wheels for sale though. :)

brake dust complaints from customer are minimized on black wheel cars
Sounds like a neat labor-saving kind of thing - if your wheels don't look dirty/dusty just skip washing them until next time.

People will think you powder coated them brown and will be starting a new poll on "Did Ford offer a brown powder coated wheel?".....
