After having had a 2012 Boss302 with gloss black wheels I can tell you they look dirty faster than my Brembo wheels on my current ride.

Gloss black shows everything when painted on a car - no reason for it not to do the same thing on a wheel as well.

Interestingly, the wheels on my 35th LE are quoted in the brochures as having a gloss black finish (between the spokes), but in reality its a metallic gun metal color (so, the opposite situation as with PP cars). It actually hides brake dust reasonably well. I'm often surprised how much dust is on there when I wipe them down...

This isn't true. The wheels still need proper spoke clearance to not hit the calipers.

Black wheels need the right color.....sterling gray which is close to magnetic or maybe its guard, works.
Not sure if I agree. I think gunmetal would look better with Magnetic/Guard.

Black works with obviously Black and then high warm saturated colors like red/yellow/orange.

Gonna order Guard EB with the PP this week. I haven't seen guard with the black wheels yet, so we willl see how it looks in person...maybe I'll be a black wheel convert?

It makes me sad how many new Mustangs will be out there looking sorry for themselves with these hideous black wheels :(

I'm getting the 2015 in Ruby Red with black 19/20 inches...... I'll choose the rim style later. The main reason being one of my previous car was a Ruby Red, almost the same as what's coming to my door next year and I had both black rimmed and silver rimmed wheels and they both looked good. As many others might have mentioned, it all depends on the body color alongside the style of the body (or curves) and the wheels/rims to give that final 'character' to the car. Speaking for myself, I always back up on everything; therefore, I'll be getting the 'blacks' with the car and opting out for another set of wheels in lighter colors..... Money no object.

It's mimicking NASCAR vehicles. Gives the car a more all business no sissy look, ... Like they do on police interceptors.
It's like womens shoes though, one decade it's 3" pointy heels with curved toes and the next it's a thick platform, then pointy witch toes etc.
It alllll comes back around. Believe it or not, chrome will be cool again.

It works on a NASCAR Cup or Nationwide car because it's part of an image that very few people would ever do all of. If you'd do just the black wheels, would you do them in 15" (NASCAR rule requirement) or with fairly tall profile tires that bulge noticeably out past the wheel flanges? Would you then consider including the car number, or the beverage advertisement?

You do realize that NASCAR has only recently allowed electronic fuel injection . . . I'd be careful about what I wanted to imitate on the outside for a car you probably also want seen to be seen as "high tech" otherwise.

I will be happy to buy any of the 5.0 PP wheel tire sets from you guys if the price is right. Mostly interested in rear's. This will change as soon as 19X10's become available from either Ford Racing or a quality wheel maker.

I'm with you. Some people hate them so much you would think they would let them go pretty cheap.

I'll start the bidding, $1 for all 4 with tires, for those trashy fugly wheels. ;)

It appears I'll have a separate set for street compound, track compound, hell even snow tires for about $5 at the current bid :D

Gunmetal blends in on a gray car...these black wheels are kinda shiny and catch your eye in the sun. You have to see them in person. Just like everything else.

Hell we might be able to just get them free at the junkyard as most owners will just be throwing them out and they will be taking up too much lot space at the salvage lot so the salvage owners will give them to us free. ;)
