Hey everyone I've had the car for about 1.5 years and about 10,000 miles and noticed the leather is starting to wear and rip on the driver side. Anyone else have any issues with the leather? It's on the outer side of the seat closer to the door. Not sure about warranty but I contacted Ford Service on Saturday and no response yet. Here's a few pictures.

I have the exact same problem and in the exact same place and it almost looks the same.... I'm having the dealership look at it tomorrow. Never seen leather do that before... I have had other vehicles with leather and none of them have ever done that.

I had my 08 Mustang with leather for 6 years and never had a problem. It just seems like a odd place to rip since I'm not touching it when seated.

1,200 miles & mine has some signs of wear already in that same spot. Clearly getting 'chaffed' when I get in & out. I draped a MF towel over the spot to see if that would keep it from progressing. Not a permanent solution, but not sure if there is anything better to keep it from happening.

Stop sliding in and out the seat in that area.
What I do is I hold the bolster with my left hand and get out that way.

It's hard not to slide against that spot getting in & out, especially if you're tall (me) and/or a chunky monkey (me again).

believe area in the photo is actually vinyl, I have 33,000 on mine and probably get in an out of car at least 15 times a day when I drive it (Insurance Adjuster). My car looks like the day I bought it----something is going on with your build, what is hanging off your pockets----something

I only get in out of the car when I go to work and back Monday through Friday. I put keys in the cupholder and have my cell in right pocket. Only wear dickies to work so it's not like a jeans button rubbing on it. I'm only 5'8 170.

I'm almost always in cotton shorts with a cotton pull over shirt, no belt or gadgets on my waist or in my pockets.

Yep, I was going to make the same comment. Only the center sections where you actual sit are real leather ... the part that can get loose with time on some seats it seems.

That bolster is a really high wear area when getting in and out. Mine is still fine, but I worry about it because it's really tricky to get in/out without brushing against it.

Let us know what ford says

^^^^^
This

I fully expect this will happen to me unless I find a different way of getting in. Getting out isn't the problem. That part of the seat rubs my bum every time and the leather is soft and sticky opposed to hard and slick like my last car.
