It’s my very first time leasing a vehicle in the States and the first maintenance schedule is coming up.
Back in Korea when I owned (not lease) an Audi A6, the car came with 3 year warranty and I never had to spend anything to keep the car maintained. Whenever the service schedule was due, I just brought it to the Audi service center and they replaced the fluids, oil, blades, pads, filters, etc while I was just chilling in the lounge.
What’s the policy on the leased vehicle here particularly with Ford? Do I need to pay the dealership to have the car serviced?
I did receive complementary 42,000 pts on FordPass when I started the lease, and the dealer told me that I could do an oil change with it. Does this mean the scheduled maintenance is not free even if the car is under warranty and not even fully mine?
If so, can I do it myself? Or is the service history mandatory for a leased vehicle?
