you can always do a sound tune to pick up more noise inside the car too

if you want to hear the 2.9L whipple sing, you need to pulley it down to a 3.0 or less. It will scream! Just make sure you have the right supporting mods to handle the horsepower.

That's why the smaller 2.3L whipple blowers on the Cobras or the eatons always whined so loud - they were turning a lot of rpms.

Well, I can hear my blower inside my car but no one else can outside the car. I'm running a whipple stage 2 gen 3 with a 3.625" pulley. I also have a stock exhaust.

i had the rough phase 1 kit before and no one ever knew i had it until i popped the hood..

you shouldn't be able to hear the twin screws much, if it all from inside the car until you really up the boost. At 10 psi or so, I couldn't even hear mine at all with my 3.2 KB

I have VMP Gen2R. No whine at all that I have heard and my exhaust is fairly quiet. When the hood is closed no one would guess what is underneath.

I would think on all the roots/PD blower hearing it would also be dependent on whether or not the car is going to be or is running an open air filter or intake system on the car :shrug:
