OK, I have to get this off of my chest!

I ordered my car in July, dealership finally placed the order in August. Since then, I have had numerous changes to the delivery date, and just when it's finally down to seven days, the dealership informs me that it's been pushed back another week!!! WTF??? It's "supposedly" been finished since November 20th (their date!), but it's still sitting on Ramp 51!! I've watched the weather and everything else.... but cannot find a reason!! I'm sick of this game. I know it's only a $40K Mustang and not a Shelby or other high dollar car, but it is also my seventh, and if I cancel this order, which I'm leaning toward, my last! We have two Mustangs, a Fusion, and a SuperCrew in the DW, so it's not that I don't love Fords, but they are losing me very quickly!! No one has even offered an explanation!

WAY TO GO FORD!!!

On a somewhat related note, I can't seem to even get a response from sales managers from two local dealers regarding ordering a new GT.

Not sure if it's because we're still in the midst of the holidays and people are vacationing or what.

It's like they don't want to sell me a car. Maybe it's a sign that I should keep my '09 and say to hell with it....

I ordered my car on 5/21 and received it on 12/19. It is worth the wait, every bit of the wait.

Yeah, I get that, but it's about commitment and principles.... If they can't meet a dealine, DON"T OFFER ONE!

And the fact that it's sitting, exposed to the elements, and God knows what else, when it could be sitting in my garage, safe and sound...lol

Ramp 51 eh, that explains it they have to wait for the spaceship to get out of the dock at the Groom Lake facility before it can be picked up, but once it is, it should be there in a flash... :headbonk:

You can try @FordService on Twitter as well. The response time is much quicker there and they have the same tools as the Rachel and the rest of the Ford crew attending to the forums.

Given that, Rachel does a fantastic job here, but she has to cover much more territory than the Twitter crew.

OMG, it's actually hilarious that you said that.... Here is some quoted text from the message sent to me by the manager at the dealership:

"as of yesterday at 7:10 PM, your car is at Ramp 51, which is like Area 51, we know it exists, but don't know what goes on there....":D

Did you send me a PM, badass03ragtop? I just checked my inbox; I don't think it went through. Please send me a PM with your VIN; I'll see what I can find out to clear up the mystery of Area 51...I mean, Ramp 51. ;)

Edit: I found the PM. :)

I can't argue that Twitter has more of my colleagues on it at a time, and thus a quicker response time, but I'm wounded. J/K :D

Thanks for suggesting me, Mike!

Tell me about it. My car was ordered July 23rd, finished on October 27th and sat on ramp 51 until December 23rd. Now its on hold at some railyard in MI for BS.

I keep hearing about the magic of Ford Service but I've talked to more than 6 customer service people and its all been a giant circle jerk of "call this number and they can help you." It's unacceptable garbage. Hell, they can't even get me a $750 coupon again because mine expired due to their incompetance.

I've financed a few vehicles through my bank and now I am about to bust the 3 month validity of the check. I applied for financing November 10th because my first EDD was November 15th. Coming up on my 4th EDD now and I'm just disgusted with everyone at Ford.
