But why ??? There so many better ones (Schoche Magic Mount for example) that do not take away cup holder and put the phone closer to your eye level (if you need it).
That is a good one, just looked at it

all those holders that attach to the dash, no go. After you take them off, they leave a permanent, non removable stain on the dash with the footprint of the base... I stained my BMW dash with crap like that, now I have a nice round mark which I hate everytime I get in the car.
so for me it's windshield holders only ... or I would rather sacrifice a cup (how much time you drink when driving ?? ) ...

Would agree. I have a holder on the windshield for my F150. I am/was on the fence about a windshield one for my GT350 because I already have the Ngauge there. Not as much real estate as my F150 windshield. This phone holder though is pretty cool. I would give up a cup holder for one. As for now I just lay it down by the radio.

There are removable ones that go into the AC vent I mentioned above. No stains obviously left after them.

Now - in the world of AA / Apple Car Play, why people need these holders anyway ?

Keep everything neat ? Not having your phone go flying off the seat/dash after a quick corner ? A quick brake stop ? Charging ? Not sure ?????

Drinking is not allowed in any of my cars, unless my girlfriend just has to.

I like to have my Harry's Lap Timer up and running so I can see it out of the corner of my eye. I had a windshield mount but it failed at an inopportune time. Maybe this will be a good substitute.

I can tell who.... people with real sport and muscle cars, that have no screens, no navigation, and are built for the sole purpose of driving pleasure, not entertaining.
the base R has no screen, but a black big plastic piece. I have no navigation on mine, and I don't miss it, phone is better. And connecting the phone to the screen is still a pain, I have tested it on many Mustang rentals that I had...
All you need is bluetooth, that's it. If you want to play with screens and listen music and news and stuff, buy a new Audi Qx series, they are great tonka trucks people movers with google maps integrated and anything you can think of (ugly things though) :)

My phone holder is the drop stop filler. Just sits in between the chair and the console. I run the charging cable behind the ebrake and essentially around the the top of the console. it's never in the way. So far this has been the best investment / mod. I no longer loose my keys, wallet, or phone in the bermuda cartrangular.
