Found a fold up cup holder at a local boat/rv dealer. A whole $6.00  Mounts with 4 #10 countersunk sheet metal screws. The trim pad on the right side of the transmission tunnel simply snaps off, making the installation easier. The backing is plastic, so the screws seat nicely. Being a solo driver, it sure beats having a drink in the center console. I prefer the arm rest pad from 5 Spurs. I will post pictures when it gets light out .......... Evidently, summer's over.

Question, why would anyone want to add a Doritos extra cheesy aftermarket cup holder when the car has two nice large cup holders built in?

The original cup holder area gets in the way of shifting in a MT when in use.

This IMO is the ideal solution . I had this on a z4 in the past.

Been searching for an alternate cup holder but surprisingly havent found any pre-fabricated solutions
