yes, you are correct on all assumptions. The craigs system works well you just have to remove the plate when either washing the vehicle with a power washer (which you would want to anyway to clean the bumper) and tracking the vehicle at excessive speeds (100+mph), which once again the front plate would normally be removed.

I put ~75,000 miles on the Craig bracket on my 2015, in all weather conditions and at high speeds. It never came off, though I did have to readjust the plate alignment and retighten the nut several times over five years. I am using the same bracket (I can't remember what name it goes under now) on my GT350, so I will report if that plate comes flying off!

In my enthusiasm and wanting to be prepared, I already bought the sto-n-sho bracket. What I am wondering is if it would work to mount it under the bumper where the Craig System mounts using the two screws instead of into the front spoiler. The questions are is the bumper material strong enough to take the two screws and the bracket/plate and would the position be correct - similar to the Craig version which is in front of the bumper which I think looks better in terms of more centered.

I think the sto and sho is a longer rod which may not allow it to be mounted under the bumper. YOu would just have to eye it up and see. As far as the bumper material, I am assuming that there would not be anything solid underneath the bumper material to secure it.
The other option is to resell your sto and sho and get the craigs .. you may have to take a bit of a loss, but it would be the correct fit.

I never opened the box and bought it direct from Sto n Sho so they might take it back without wacking me for it. But, I may have to go that way.
