Hi. Sorry for my English but it's not very good. Well, I have a problem with the MT82 D4 gearbox. A click is heard while driving and shifting gears. I made a video to show the problem. Is it normal?

I don't hear any clicking while driving... but I definitely do when moving the gearshift lever with engine off. What you were doing doesn't sound abnormal at all, but you shouldn't hear it inside the car. Did you install an aftermarket shifter, by any chance? If you didn't re-install the stock rubber isolator, that'd be the reason.

the car is 25,000 kilometers. The box is factory-made and has not been changed. When I disengage and the car drives uphill, I can hear play in the box and clicks. Also, when the engine goes out and it is in gear 1, you can hear these backlash. When reducing from 4 to 5, you also hear the knocks in the gearbox.

Wonder if the tailshaft nut is loose, I know some GT350's had that issue. Not sure if the MT82 can also have it.

The rear shaft nut is fine. Knocks are heard in the gearbox. Perhaps it is on the racks or on the flywheel.

Are you still under warranty? Without professional evaluation or taking the box apart it's just guessing.

Yes, I have a warranty and I have to go to the Ford service center to check this fault. The mechanic on the site has already checked this knock and found it normal. I insisted that there is no such fault in other mustangs. After two days, they called me to replace the drive shaft with a new one because it was probably knocking. They replaced the propeller shaft and the knocking continues. we will see what the decision of the service will be because they are very reluctant to fix this fault.

the gear shift linkage is sloppy for one. So they pulled 2 new Mustangs off the lot and yanked on whatever it is you were yanking on and they don't make a noise? Or you're just assuming the noise is "wrong"?
