If it's not too personal out of curiosity and if you financed it,what kinda rates you get? I'm in the market as well kind, just can't get past the rates right now to justify it and I have excellent credit.

You didn’t ask me but I recently bought last week and I was able to get 5.8% in the same credit bracket. It was a little bit of a battle as the finance guy really wanted to sell me his warranty packages. I wouldn’t budge and that’s the rate he agreed to(started at 7.6%). He could’ve gotten me 5.3 if I bought something from him. I thought that was a little slimy but I was tired of arguing and wanted to be done. Might refi if the rates drop.

well the good thing is that what goes up must come down….the difficult part is not knowing how long before this insanity stops. Well I could guess but then it would turn into a political post. If it were not for the Ford financing I would not be driving a Mustang.

I’m definitely refi’ing. Had this been a planned purchase I’d have gone to my bank first. I’m not paying 6.5 for very long. That’s just crazy, my bank gave me 1.99 on the car I traded in. I’d take 4-5 right now tbh given the way things are. I did how ever get the car 3k under sticker and tbh I’d probably have waited and gone to my bank but I didn’t think the car would last a few day at that price 🤷🏼‍♂️

Check ur bank or CU rates. I doubt they are much better at this time. Things are ridiculous. My CU is at 6-6.3 for 60 mos and they always have outstanding rates.

Sometimes our lives are just difficult and we are forced into making these impossible choices!

You got yourself a very nicely optioned M1 and it looks like your trade was also an auto? If so, I don’t think you will be sad for to long.

Congratulations and enjoy that beauty! They are really well designed cars not much to dislike about it. The sound system leaves a bit to be desired, which is what I have to come to expect from factory systems but not when you get an upgrade. I had the B&O in my Audi S6 and when I brought it to my stereo shop for my radar install just for fun we hooked it up to see how the computer heard the system. Needless to say everyone that worked there was shocked how good it sounded and thankful that most don’t sound like that or they would be unemployed. My next money I’m spending is on some upgrades for the B&O.

Again, I think you will get over your choice pretty quickly and have few to zero regrets!

Enjoy it, drive is safely and love it everyday!

That does seem to be where we are at. I bought a month ago & got 5.4% with a 810 score, I went in pre-approved at that rate it was about the best I could find. The F&I didn't even bother to try matching or selling me on their financing.

That said while it feels outrageous now the reality is we aren't really that far away from when these were great rates. We've just been a bit spoiled and gotten use to cheap loans.
