Anyone ever have any issues with their key fobs losing programing?
Car was in for clutch and other mods, battery disconnected for a few days while work was being done. Go to start car and accessories come on but no key detected message comes up...for both fobs. Fob batteries replaced, car battery checked still no detection....kind of lost.

Every once in a while my the "Key not detected" message will appear but I can still start my car. It's only happened with the fob in my pocket so I just assumed it was in an odd spot. It hasn't happened since I've been taking my fob out and putting it in the cup holder. Sorry not much help but I have had similar issues before.

If the center consul was opened up for any reason they could have accidentally left the wires unplugged for the key fob sensor. It happened to me when I installed my mgw shifter.

Well that's one of the things we did was put in a MGW shifter. I've tried the fob in the hole under the cup holder and no go. I will check on wires.

If "other mods" involved changes to your tune, you may have had your FOB unpaired to your computer. An SCT I was working with said to turn off key, but it was supposed to remain on (don't ask why it had that prompt in it). Connection was lost to both FOBs, had to take it in to the dealer to have them programmed to the vehicle again.

This just happened to me .

I removed the center console to run some wires for a custom nitrous switch panel. When I went to turn on acc power it said not key detected. Come to find out the receiver for the fob is in the cup holder . doh...

How do you like the mgw shifter?

So glad I saw this thread when it was posted... Although it didn't help me remember to plug the plug back in during my install... I did remember it and come here only to realize that I did the same exact thing.

I love the shifter...however I have a lot of NVH. I also put in the RXT at the same time. I have the Steeda trans bushing in the cross member as well...that's where I think the majority of it is coming from. I debated on leaving it in or not. Getting use to it now so it will probably stay.
