anybody know if the new Fusion keyless entry fobs can be setup to work for our cars? the one thing i dislike is the way the key fobs are, all bulky.

Not sure what year Fusion your talking about....

Just picked up a 2017 Fusion Titanium for the Mrs on Monday, the new fob is HUGE...
as a comparison, We have owned 4 Fusions already (06,09,12, 13 ) and this fob is by far the largest.

the current fusions...it is larger then the past ones, but to me it fits a heck of a lot better then the mustang fob in my pocket

I can't stand our key fob. It's way too bulky. But it's a pretty standard design across Ford models. Our Explorer Sport uses one just like it.

for the mustang key fob, pop the cover off. it's in small font though.

if you search ebay for mustang key fob, they sometimes show a photo highlighting the FCC ID

I've owned this car for less than 4 months and somehow the button on the FOB have been pressed hard and long enough to roll down the windows 3 separate times while in my pocket. Thankfully it didn't rain the one time they were left open overnight.

Update:

found a website that lists the ID #'s for the fobs. they are not the same. guess we'll have to see if they change the fobs for the 18 model (probably not)

Where is Logitech when we need them to come up with a "Harmony" remote key fob? I'd bet there's a market out there for people who hate theirs.

i wouldn't mind being able to customize a key fob...i like the ones the Koenigsegg's have

You'd be better off with a Focus one given it's a 1/3rd of the size. Or just find the guy who was trying to 3D print a housing for the mustang fob internals.
