Use the FCC ID from your current key fob remotes to find compatible Ford remotes on eBay.
I'm doing that and will report back if it worked.

It worked.
I programmed my $45 eBay key today. No problems. Beats dealer prices. Doesn't come with a metal key thats cut though. And the logo on the key is a Ford logo not a Mustang logo. Other than that the key is exactly the same.

I followed the instructions from the car's manual. One note: when you get to the step in the programming process where you use the new key and push your car's start button, wait, because nothing will happen for a few seconds, then after a few seconds the car and key will initialize.
In other words, when you hit start with your two current keys, there is no lag or wait time, but the new un-programmed key takes a couple of seconds (no more than 5 seconds) when you follow the instructions in your manual exactly as written.

I'm in need of a 2nd spare key, anyone here know if a key for another model 2015 Ford (Fusion) will work IF the FCC ID is identical to the one I have??

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if it is possible to program a fob if you only have one of the original remotes? Instructions ask for both.

I'm sure a dealer can do it but that's pricey. I've not heard of an alternative for 1 keyfob programming.

I had to have my company Escape key replaced and it cost $225 for the key and $50 to program it. Hopefully the Mustang is cheaper.

I probably should get a third key fob. I currently have one setup as a MyKey, with 80mph speed limiter, and I read somewhere if the master is lost, or malfunctions, it will cause a headache.

I picked up a $65 key on eBay. There are tons of keys for the automatic with the remote start feature, but few for the manual without it; I matched the FCC ID to a fob I found and even though it doesn't have the pony on the back it works just fine.

Way, way better than losing a key and being up sh*t creek.

That could be a bad thing because it means anyone (like a valet) could make a spare if they had access to one key

I had to have both keys to program a third. Really easy to do though.

Can you please point me to these instructions?

Has anyone had success programming a new key without both original keys?

Go to owner.ford.com for the instructions. You will need two keys to program a third key though.
