Air raid does not have one yet for the v6 according to there website and yes there are some coming out soon but no company has a definitive answer as to when. I think roush is making one but I heard late summer is the release date. That's just ridiculous to me. If there was no ecoboost we would have already had all our mods by now. Oh well just have to be patient I guess.

Insight: After the devastating news that roush is only coming out with a CAI for our cars in late summer, i immediately gave a call to Airaid and they told me (and i quote) "we will have the system out in a couple of weeks"

Lets hang tight lads.

As I mentioned before, I got one because they are usually worth the $50 even as a temporary measure. I'll definitely upgrade to a full CAI after tunes are available so maybe in another year or two. Still plenty of HP/TQ atm for me.

Yes I would like to know someone's input about the k&n filter if they have one installed. I am probably going to order one myself since there is no Cai available for our cars yet.
I have one and as 2wheel said :

Installed K&N Drop-in filter and drove the snot out of the car. It is as others said: a tad snappier throttle response and improved eagerness. Installation was about three minutes. And it really rocks on wide-open throttle!

I agree completely, nothing major but you can feel and hear it for sure.

Installed both the K&N filter and SR throttle body spacer and they seemed to smooth out the throttle response a bit. Come to think of it, there would be a slight hesitation when really laying on the pedal - no more. Can't wait to try it out a bit more in sport mode.

I have just the SR throttle body spacer and it did help with throttle response nothing dramatic but for $100 I figured wth it was a cheap mod. Did the k&n filter get you better mpg?

Commuting yesterday (FRPP exhaust and K&N installed on PP GT) got 23 mpg indicated door-to-door going and 26.9 mpg indicated coming home, 80 percent SoCal freeway in medium traffic and keeping mostly a light right foot. Backroads and some hooning through canyons today, 20 mpg indicated. Pretty darn good. Never went over 105 mph when passing others....

I ordered mine today. Should be here in a week or so. I will put up before and after videos for review. I eventually want to put in a CAI.

So I tried out some 0 - 60 tests with the K&N filter / spacer combo on local back roads (somewhat hilly but where I tested was relatively flat for my area). Unfortunately I forgot to test before putting on the parts but I could easily return back to stock again and reevaluate. First test came back 5.9, second was this:

Conditions: About 42 degrees, dry / salted roads, traction control on, 0 - 60 from dead stop in S mode.
I'll try to find another flat and dry road to confirm my rough 0 - 60 evaluations but I'm pretty happy so far!

Okay guys,
I received my K&N replacement filter today and I installed it this afternoon. Can I tell the difference? Yes! a few HPs i think, but enough for me to feel it. It sounds more throaty as well. This is a temporary mod till I get a CAI but its well worth the $56. I haven't done 0-60 times yet, waiting for the weather to get better, its non-stop rain here in the south.

Anyone drill extra holes into stock air box?

Tom Y, either down thread here or on another thread talked about having plans to mod the stock air box by drilling extra holes in it ' on the fender well side' along with the K&N upgraded filter. He did not share the plans. He was actually soliciting for people to send their air box to him to be mod'ded. I looked at our stock air box an the only place it looks like there is room for extra holes is a narrow area above and next to the existing front intake tube/chamber. 'The fender well side' seems to be about 1/4" off fender well.

Anyone tried adding extra holes w/tubing from airbox forward to grill area to increase cold air intake a bit?
