Just dropped it in today to replace stock air filter...obviously not a hard core upgrade, but pleasantly surprised with increase in engine note and pedal responsiveness. $60 well spent :D

Dropped one in last night. I ordered it from the K & N website since they apparently just came out and Autozone didn't have them yet. I've got the FR (Borla) touring exhaust on the car and a Bama tune. I may upgrade to a CAI in the future but for now, I'm going with the stock air box and the K & N.

I agree that the induction sound is a little more agressive and the car seems to be a little more responive. A few more HP and a little more torque? I don't know. Hard to tell. But I want to believe so. :D

I just got mine in today as well. Feeling and hearing about the same! Also yanked the sound tube!

I was surprised at how nice the stock Ford air filter was...def not your typical cheap air filter.

Did pulling the sound tube make a noticeable difference inside the car? BTW, Gig Em.
It wasnt a night and day difference. I think i can tell the difference, but that may just be in my head! It wont matter after today since the SW catback is going on today! WHOOP!!!

I've been using K&N's for years in many different cars/suv's. I currently have them on my '14 GT and my Acura RDX...V6. I find they seem to help throttle response. Noticed it on the RDX right away. Get's up off the line just a tad quicker due to the extra quick response of the throttle. GT seems to be similar. Engine intake sound is a little different too. K&N has their own dyno at their facility in Riverside, CA. Recorded results show HP gains too.
Ditto...... A great product......... :) John

Got mine today! Will install right after driving it with the stock filter, probably this weekend when I'm rested and perceptive enough to notice any subtleties in power/throttle response .... (if they exist :ninja: !!!)

As posted in the "what did you do to your Mustang today thread":

Installed K&N Drop-in filter and drove the snot out of the car through the back roads and canyons of Ventura County. It is as others said: a tad snappier throttle response and improved eagerness. Installation was about three minutes. And it really rocks on wide-open throttle!

Awesome! I have still been babying it, about to roll past 1000 miles so looking forward to seeing what she can do. Also just ordered the FRPP X pipe, cannot wait to get that installed.
