From the web... so it must be true:

RED
Red is the color of energy, passion, action, ambition and determination. It is also the color of anger and sexual passion.

YELLOW
Yellow is the color of the mind and the intellect. It is optimistic and cheerful. However it can also suggest impatience, criticism and cowardice.

The trouble starts if you're an ambitious, sexually charged, intellectual coward...

Well that settles it then!

On another note - the super snake stripe looks great on red. Wonder what it looks like on yellow. I think I might be tempted to black out the roof but continue the stripe through to the back.. Or it might be too much . Hummmm

Luckily I've got about .... 7 months to decide on the stripe. Not so long on the colour unfortunately

Black stripes are good...

"Black is the color of the hidden, the secretive and the unknown, creating an air of mystery. It keeps things bottled up inside, hidden from the world."

Loving that wide black stripe. What I won't love is the ridiculous hike in insurance. How come a ÂŁ200 pound stripe loads you far more than a 1400 quid exhaust.

is a stripe classified as a mod?

don't imagine I'll be declaring that if it does, in fact, have an effect on the insurance - seems a bit daft.

in further news - i've pretty much done a full U turn and am now trying to decide between White with Blue stripe, or Red with black stripe. successfully talked myself out of the yellow

It's certainly a mod and by rights should be declared. If you want covered...

Yes, clarify you've got a stripe. Insurance are nauses, hate the bastards, but, you have to disclose you've got a stripe on your car.

If it helps: Interior Piping, sprayed engine cover and DRLs I didn't mention. They're all legal. I wont mention sidelights, again, it's legal, it's nothing to worry about in my eyes.
Tints on rear lights, I mentioned but didn't get any backlash just a 'Noted on insurance', no increase on premium.

Exhaust i'll mention, and probably get bent over for a premium on it.

Any external Cosmetic mods generally have to be disclosed.

I checked with Aviva and adding that stripe adds ÂŁ3 to my insurance.

EDIT: unless its the factory option stripes. Don't suppose they need to be specified to insurance?

Technically yes if they ask. Along with shaker pro, heated seats and parking sensors.
Some insurance companies want to know any extras added to the car when ordering
Hmm, didn't tell them that and they didn't ask...
