Wheel diameter won't effect ride height. Tire diameter will.

A 1.75" drop on a 30 aspect ratio tire? I'm guessing you don't want to be able to have much straight line traction? You will have less weight transfer and combined with a rubber band stiff sidewall tire, so it's going to be a great drift car!!!

Good looking wheel though.
I had 1st gen ToyoR888s before with a 30 aspect ratio if I remember right(it’s been a few years lol) on my old corvette. I had pretty good traction on the streets even with a 200 hit of giggle juice, but I definitely wasn’t doing dig races on the streets either.

Getting a 35 aspect ratio, for a bit more grip is no big deal. I can go with Falken Azeni RT660 which is a 305/35/19 sticky tire or a Nitto NT05 same size sticky tire. Tire size and compound can be adjusted. But I was definitely leaning again towards the R888rs.
The car will stay NA and sometime in the future might add an N2O hit depending on where I want to go.

Thanks for the heads up.

Gotcha - I missed a little of the context regarding the tire size. 30 to 35 is about 15mm or about 5/8 inch. I guess going with 19 and 30 aspect is very close to 18 with a 35
The aspect ratio has nothing to do with rim diameter. It’s the percentage of tread width the sidewall is tall. A 275/30 tire will be the same size sidewall on a 18,19 or 20” wheel. The overall height of the assembly will be taller because of the larger rim diameter but the tread width and side wall height will be the same.
If you are wanting to keep the same approximate height than you need to go to a smaller aspect ratio as you increase tread width and rim diameter.
im going from a 255/40/19 to a 285/30/20 on the front of my mach 1. The overall height will be 27” and 26.7” respectively. On the rear I’m going from 275/40/19 to 315/30/20 and the height goes from 27.7” to 27.4”. I’m trying to stay as close to factory height so my gear ratios and speedometer aren’t thrown off by a significant change in circumference and therefore revolutions per mile.

Larger diameter and R compound will always be best. I wouldn't do 11" wide wheels. 10-10.5" is ideal.

For example. My street setup runs the factory 19X8.5" premium wheels with 275/40/19 555Rll's. They stick impressively. I've done dragy verified 3.5 sec 0-60 with that setup. 5.02 60-130.
Hmmm, thank you, but now I need to rethink my setup!
Would it be better for 0-60 times then to go with 19” wheels over 18” wheels, understanding of course that the o.d. would be the same in either case?
Or 17” wheels as I see you run on the track?
I’m looking to get the best setup I can for weekend “cruising” and occasional 1/4 mile pass…

If your primary interest is 0-60 times, more sidewall works in your favor for hooking up. I'll take it to an extreme to emphasize the point. Look at competitive drag racing, they have very large sidewalls. They flex to help the tire bite during the launch. BUT...this comes at the expense of handling. Tall sidewalls roll over during hard cornering and you lose the sharpness when steering.

Agreed, if someone is looking to have a stout 60ft time get a set of 15” bead lock wheels, throw a set of slicks and send it.

Just came in. Definitely excited. Ordered the hub rings for it. Tires are next and springs. Should have it all set up here in a few weeks. They look great and are really light. Excited about the project.
