I replaced the stock WG with a 7 pound Turbosmart part.
Part throttle around town is very smooth and 80% throttle shifts now stay or get back in boost right away. Feels like a bigger engine with very smooth roll on power delivery, I know there isn't more power but what is delivered is much more even. A great 137.00 investment, very happy.

I recommend buy this before a waste gate swap, or if you want to adjust pre load later. I dropped it twice during install and adjustment. found it on the garage floor, lucky me.

Yes Ranebowcyxx, I am just about to install the same part number turbosmart boost regulator. I am assuming your talking of an Ecoboost Mustang. If so what kind of boost is this 7 p.s.i. unit delivering. I asked because the stock boost is about 20-22 p.s.i.
Am I missing something here?

I am new to turbos so i have yet to understand myself how a 7# wastegate turns into 22#. The way I figure it is like base timing and then the advance comes on as demand increases.

Dumb question, don't you need a tune to run different wastegates? Or is 7 pound close enough to stock that you don't need to?

7# is the stock springI have seen posts and reviews that show 10# can be run without a tune. I tend to be a little more conservative and would get a tune anything over stock spring rates. Beside you can always go up on springs as your mods and tunes dictate. It was lightly raining here yesterday so i was limited going all in. I was able to see the boost gauge in the car matched up to the COBB readout.
