Steve lets start a new thread about that so that we follow up and let other people contribute as well. I would really like to see where this will lead and if we keep it in this thread, which is about the wga installation, we will derail the thread and the info about the turbo blanket and the exhaust wrap will be hidden for other members.

Can you start the thread about turbo blankets and exhaust wraps and take it there?

With the WG fully closed and the actuator arm NOT engaged onto the WG ball...adjust the rod length to the point where the clevis will smoothly engage with the WG ball. Once you have this length set, rotate the clevis between 2 and 3 full turns (360 degrees equals one turn) That will set the optimal pre-load. Once that's set, you will need to exert some force to "stretch" the rod in order to engage it onto the WG ball...at which time you re-install the lock clip.

* Obviously you are not "stretching" the rod, but it's the least ambiguous way to explain it)

Tuning is strongly recommended IMO.

If you dont tune with a WGA you may as well wave bye bye to your turbo & block.

With Tune+ WGA you need to rotate the clevis 4 full turns or 3mm. Don't get confused though, this only applies to the WGA that is modified with the springs from Tune+. A regular Turbosnart WGA requires 2-3 full turns.

And of course, you need a tune with the WGA. Adam sent me an update to my tune, which I flashed after I installed his WGA and he asked me to datalog once again. So I suppose that I will receive at least one update.
