Super excited it came in, brought it home yesterday. Then I noticed a couple runs in the paint or clear. The pictures don’t do it justice. I really don’t want paint work on my car.

If you are not happy with it, get it fixed. I'm in the same boat.

Beautiful car man! Congrats! I'm with you though. Situations like this can often lead to worse problems at some dealerships. Is there any way you can try to buff it out? I personally would just do whatever you can on it yourself. That's just me.

Just a thought..... you may have body panel irregularities. Explore that option before you go down the path of paint correction.

It’s something with the paint or clear. I own a Paintless Dent Repair company and have been fixing dents for 23 years. Definitely the paint. I wish it was something I could fix.

From looking at the pic that looks like it can be wet sanded out.But not by just any typical body shop or paint detailer. There are some high end body shops that are able to do just that. There is one here in New York and one of the polishers is 70 years old and has been fixing these type of paint blemishes for 40 years.i had him fix something worse than that on my Ford GT when it was new.U cannot tell he ever touched it.Go to several high end shops(find out who does the local Rolls Royce or Ferrari dealers body work) and let them look at it before u go paint it.

John: I think that we all grimace when we read a post like yours and I'm very sorry for you, Tom, and unfortunately, more than a few others.

Then you get to deal with the question of whether to make a warranty claim (and take what their "collision department" can do) or, go elsewhere and pay. Not something you want or expect to have to do with a new vehicle for sure and I feel your pain.

The good news is as others have mentioned, there are body shops around who are more than capable of making those factory mistakes disappear forever.

Anyway, hope for the best and I'll have good thoughts for the outcome.

Mine involves a small air bubble in the clear coat on the bumper. It is such a small area that I'm perfectly comfortable in having it re cleared., sanded and polished.

As for the OP, yes, I might have a professional paint correction done. Either way, he can't leave it like that.
